Phones, Banks, Electronics

Telephones

I always wanted a phone made out of an actual full sized Riddell Helmet, but the prices I saw on Ebay were always too high....and then, I got lucky.

I won an auction on a phone that was actually used at Madison Square Garden on April 28-29, 1987 for the NFL Draft (Certificate of Authenticity)...The Bears drafted Jim Harbaugh in Round One and Ron Morris in Round Two. The phones provided that day were made by Nardi Enterprises, Inc. and each team was provided only ONE! Some other teams phones were auctioned in the $1,000 - $3,000 range....I lucked out at around $100.00...

Bears/Dolphins phone 2000
One can never have enough Bear telephones. This one is kind of cheesey and generic. You put your favorite team stickers on it, in this case, Bears vs. Dolphins. You press a button and it goes into a guy giving a play call of a touchdown. Oh well.

Recently added a Nardi Slimline phone, new in package.  Woot!  Woot!

and HERE is my FAVORITE Phone (next to my Madison Square Garden Draft Day Helmet Phone)

Here is the Seller's description.  I have hooked it up once and works GREAT!

Bear down, Chicago Bears"..is what you will hear every time this phone rings!  This 'never used' phone is in it's original box and packaging.  Made of ABS plastic, it has a ringer volume control and a music selection switch that allows you to set the ringer to the famous Chicago Bears fight song, or "Chicago", (that toddlin' town).  It comes with a power supply and matching handset and line cords.  This is a one of a kind find for the true Chicago Bear fan.  Circa 1980's.

Can't forget this one, a press phone from Super Bowl  XX

Piggy Banks

The last picture shows that I have a propensity to start what a friend of mine (insert archaeologist Donnie) and I call "mini collections" or collections within collections.  So, yes I collect Piggy Banks.  Forever Collectibles and The Memory Company have put out several banks in the last few years but I have some from the early 1990s as well.
Here are the new 2013 Forever Collectible piggies

Here are some other banks that have made it into my collection. The helmet with the gray facemask is from 1978. The large cardboard one was from a 1987 Monday Night Football game between the Bears and Broncos. It doubles as a lunchbox. The orange based "TimTee" bank is a highly sought collectible.
