As far as Jewelry goes, I like the oddball and unique stuff, nothing too awful fancy but interesting.
This following is a 1943 Chicago Bears Souvenir Football Pendant with half of the original box. There is an unused smooth area on the rear for an inscription. The seller informed me that years ago, this was stored in the full box with a Bears logo and "Soldier Field Souvenir" on the top. Well, the top of the box has gone missing over the years and the item shows a small amount of wear from use but overall excellent condition. It is marked "1-10" which basically means gold filled, not gold.

Below are 2 rings made out of pennies.
Here is a new addition to my ring collection. It is a size 12 1/2 Stainless Steel Ring. Very Nice!
I started collecting Bear items in the early 1990's. I originally intended to just collect key chains. Things got out of hand a tad.
Here are a few recent ones:
Just bought 3 of these cuties - 2 to use and one to save. Kinda silly, really.
And here are some miscellaneous "etcs"
Just a neat collectible pocket knife, the helmet is etched:
here's a new Siskiyou (sp) with similar tools as above
More collection add ons....a 1989 ring, some old charms etched with "bear" and a newer (cheap) necklace)
Credit card knife
Comes in the original box.
Well, look what I found another Knife from the same company:
I think it is a Chicago Bear brooch, or could it actually be a Cincinnati Bearcat?
a very
nicely-preserved vintage Hallmark mechanical
pencil crafted
in the USA of real walnut, c.1985. Hallmark, the greeting card giant, had
entered the writing instruments market in the late 1970’s and
made pens and mechanical pencils in beautifully-grained
hardwoods, primarily walnut like this pencil. They stopped selling them in
the early 1990’s, but appear to still be honoring the lifetime warrantees which
is really impressive in today’s business world.
What’s
more this pencil bears both a Sears Best Applicator
King logo on the pencil's side and the monogram of University of
Michigan and Chicago Bears standout wide receiver Bo Rather on
the clip! Perhaps it was a gift. This Hallmark pencil is in clean, outstanding
condition. It measures 5⅜” long x ⅜” at center widest and the wood looks
perfect with no nicks or dings. Plus, the chromed steel accents are still
remarkably shiny. And, the clip rests tight against the cap with no ‘lift’
whatsoever. In addition, it comes in its original American walnut storage box
which is also in splendid shape. Overall, this Hallmark walnut pencil is
exceptionally well-preserved.
Most
importantly, the mechanism works perfectly—counter-clockwise rotation to extend
the lead, clockwise to retract when needed. Plus, it takes the 0.9mm lead
that’s considered large nowadays but was known as “thin lead” for decades when
1.1mm was the standard! There’s an extra stick of this lead in the customary
storage recess under the eraser ferrule and that eraser shows no use and is
still remarkably ‘rubbery’. Lastly, this Hallmark pencil has adequate mass,
perfect balance, and writes beautifully with the soft, larger lead of
yesteryear.
from Sears to Rather?
I found another Smokey Mountain Super Bowl XX pocket knife
